Thank you Give a Book

20 January 2014 //  by First Story

Huge thanks to Give a Book for donating one book for each student participating in First Story at our forty schools. We made a big push to get as many books to students in December 2013, so they had their books in time for Christmas, and so far, Give a Book has helped us to distribute 500 books. They’ll be helping us this spring, too, and ultimately, we hope to give out 800 books.

One of last year’s students highlighted that the impact of this kind of project extends beyond the numbers directly served. He says:

The books I’ve picked up during the year are laying on my shelf. Once I’ve read them, they are picked up by my younger siblings, who in turn read them for themselves.

This is the second year that Give a Book has supported us in this way.
