Kevin Fegan

I’ve written to commission over fifty original stage plays produced for a wide variety of theatre, including several award-winning plays. For BBC Radio 4: several original plays, a Classic Serial and a Woman’s Hour Serial. I’ve also worked as a Storyline Writer for Granada TV’s Coronation St. I have published ten books of poetry, edited dozens of anthologies and am a regular performer of my own work. I’ve worked extensively as a writer in the community and have undertaken dozens of residencies in a wide range of different communities across the country, in particular prisons.

Current commissions include The Palace of Varieties – life and times of Dennis Skinner M.P. for Derby Theatre in 2022, and a site-specific community play in 2022 for Belper, Derbyshire, where I now live.
